NBDC 2022 is a drying and dewatering conference dedicated to university-industry interaction organised by the Nordic and Baltic countries. It has evolved from the NDCs that were held annually from 2001 to 2013 in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland. Furter, it was expanded to include Baltic countries.
The main purpose of the NBDC 2022 is to continue an exchange of technical and scientific knowledge on drying and dewatering processes between academia, research centres, consulting agencies, and industrial partners. Another objective is to promote the best experimental and industrial drying and dewatering practices in the Nordic and Baltic areas and to promote them internationally. The new approach is to include Young Researchers to provide opportunities to share the latest achievements, gain professional knowledge, and develop international collaborations.
The topics addressed at the conference will focus on improving drying processes and technologies, as well as, upgrading product quality in pursuit of more sustainable solutions for an ever-evolving economic society, while remaining competitive in the industry. Attention will be drawn to solving challenges associated with the quality of products and processes and energy consumption, including environmental and climate change.
